Sure: Crystal Invisible

I've been really terrible with my blog over the holidays and January has just been too crazy for me to start up again! Much to my surprise however I have had several people get in touch asking where the blog posts have disappeared to - and so I vowed to make an effort to get back into it.
So when I found out about the Sure Crystal Invisible competition to win a Michael Kors bag I thought what better way to kick off 2015.

The idea is that, inspired by the 'black stays black, white stays white' invisible deodorant; you post a black and white image that means something to you and explain why.
I chose the below photo which, whilst super unflattering, depicts a weekend I won't forget. This was taken the weekend that I found out I had been offered a job in buying at New Look, an opportunity I never even dreamed I would be lucky enough to get. We went to the seaside for the weekend and bathed in the sun and ate chocolate and drank champagne - a perfect celebration to mark a whole new chapter in my life.

As you can see from the above (grey top, black jeans, white birkenstocks) monochrome is not something I shy away from. I've never had a massive problem with my white clothes being stained but the amount of white marks I have on my darker clothes is ridiculous! {seriously how do you end up with deodorant marks on jeans..??}
This became so much of a problem that I actually went out and bought one of Sure's invisible deodorants at the weekend, which so far has proved undeniably successful! This version however - crystal invisible - is supposed to keep your whites and blacks as clean as can be and so far I'm impressed. I was wearing black leather trousers with a white top today and I sprayed on the top to find absolutely no marks whatsoever. I wasn't brave enough to spray the jeans so instead I sprayed the deodorant directly onto a black pyjama top I have and there were absolutely no visible marks!

I haven't had a chance to see how this particular version (diamond) performs on a daily basis but I'm looking forward to trying it out. I have to admit I'm really terrible for buying cheap deodorants (they're all the same right...?) but at £1 for a can I really can't complain and if I'm being totally honest: not having to deal with white sticky marks all over my clothes is a god send.

Inspired by the black and white theme of Sure's Crystal Invisible I thought I'd share my monochrome fashion inspiration - all the fabulous black and white clothes I can now wear every day without having to worry about deodorant stains!

Until next time,
