Winters Coming

I'm a summer person most of the time. I like spending time outside and I don't particularly favour rain, wind or snow, so generally when winter rolls round the corner I find I'm not too happy. However, one thing I do love about the winter months is curling up in bed on Sundays without feeling like your wasting the day because, let's face it, being outside isn't very inviting.

I got a few pairs of pjs free from work recently, these are in the teen section at New Look and I love them. I don't like wearing long trousers to sleep in but winter doesn't cope well with little shorts so these are perfect. I also have a fairisle print pair which will be brought out closer to xmas.

This is my heatable hooty, AKA my microwavable owl who becomes my best friend in the winter months. 2 minutes in the microwave and he's so cozy, I have spilled boiling water over myself too many times when making hot water bottles so he's a perfect substitute for someone clumsy like me.

What would winter be without candles? I have these 3 on my chest of drawers and 2 white ones beside my bed and on Sundays I light them as soon as I get up to make tea, they make the room so much cozier. The two big silver ones are particularly perfect this time of year with one scented as 'Oh Christmas Tree'.

I plan this weekend to give you a little look into my new house and my interiors as things are finally starting to look sorted so keep your eyes peeled!

Until next time,

  1. I'm also generally a summer person however I do like an excuse to stock up on cuddly sleepwear. I also prefer shorts and all my long pyjamas are elasticated at the bottom to the don't roll up!

  2. Such a cute post, I do love your little owl and those pj's look super comfy. I love winter when you can get cosy with a film so this is perfect for me, although I hate not being able to go put as much.

    1. The dark nights are the worst, I leave for work in the dark & come home in the dark! That's why I splash out on pjs, dressing gowns and hot water bottles to make it through. Thanks for stopping by :) xx
