Anything Better Than New Underwear?

I have big boobs. They seem to have hit a D cup and stayed that way for a long time, no matter how much weight I gain or lose. The problem is buying bras, I've tried all the big names and I never get very far; I don't like the way they look or how they fit. It sometimes seems that girls with bigger chest are expected to settle for less, there's less help pushing them up or padding them out (not that I want them any bigger but padding does help with a nice shape) but recently I've found my calling in an unsuspecting place: Primark.

I love the way their bras fit and almost every range they do seems to work whether it's basic t-shirt, flirty and pretty or strapless. I bought the most amazing strapless bra from Primark for £5 the other day - it is the first strapless I have owned that I've actually liked.

So I had a little haul of underwear the other day and my grand total? £13 for these three beauties. I could have spend £20 and come away with another 3 but I refrained as my underwear drawer would be overflowing.

These aren't push up or overly padded but they are super super comfy and a really pretty design.

This one was my absolute fave at just £4, the colours are so perfect for summer (not sure why they need to be as I don't plan on walking round with my bra out but hey). I do love balconette bras, I think if you get them right they can give such a nice shape, and lift, whilst still firmly containing everything.

So there you have it, I am sure the range is wonderful for those with a smaller chest as well - they offer all sorts of heavily padded, lifting bras which look great - but from someone with a big chest, which can be a complete nightmare in many ways, Primark is my recommendation.

Until next time! E xx

  1. Really cute bras. I'm also a D but not too keen on padding. The bras that have worked best for me and give a nice shape and are comfy are the ones I bought from Calvin Klein. :)

    1. I think most people with bigger boobs prefer no padding but I just think it provides a shape... I've only ever bought shapewear from CK (which has been amazing!) so maybe I'll try out the bras now :)

  3. These are so adorable! I'm an E and have always found primark to be one of the best places, it's so sad that in most other stores they either don't go up to your size or they have really ugly designs!

  4. These bras are so pretty and I can't believe the price! I have the same issues and find it so difficult to find a good bra.

  5. I love the striped one, the way the fabric gathers is so pretty. I find it tricky to find bras I like too, but I bought the same bra in 4 different colours when I finally found a good one!
